The Heritage

In an industry where storytelling often smells of paint, where design is spectacle and products are showcased more for appearance than substance, we have chosen to tell our truth. Fully, with no filters and no effects.

A true story begins far away.
And it is not linear.
At the age of 32, Luigi Giudici was in Africa, surrounded by exotic woods and human relationships built with Nigerian generals and Lebanese technicians. There I realized that you can only understand the material if you live it, if you cut it, if you transport it, if you sell it and nobody wants it. In the 1990s, Doussié was unknown in Italy. The first container that arrived was a disaster. Unsold. Uncomfortable. Risky. But it was also the beginning. Today, BGP is a solid industrial group, with 10,000 square metres of logistics and over 100 tonnes of wood handled every day. But none of this would have existed if it hadn’t been for that first container. Paid for in advance. Without guarantees. Only with courage.
A credible story from the roots to the top
The history of BGP began in 1989, with the intuition of a young Luigi Giudici, who laid the foundations for what would become Bergamo Parquet. With the arrival of his children Georgia and Giovanni, the company grew, took shape and set its sights on the future. A journey that combines solidity and vision, from the roots to the top.
